Listed below you will find a variety of packages for fishing the Upper Iowa River, Turkey River and Trout streams in and around Winneshiek County.  The purpose is to provide a relaxed day of fishing with the potential to catch nice

fish from a variety of species.  Float trips can be half day (4hrs) or all day (8hrs) on the Upper Iowa River or

Turkey River.  You spend the day fishing from a floating canoe, anchored position, or wading.  I will take care of about 95% of the paddling while you concentrate on relaxing and fishing.  You may find yourself in need of some Ibuprofen, a shower, and a good night’s sleep after a full day of fun.  Depending on the package you choose, will dictate what you need to bring for

equipment.  Some things are guaranteed.  You will need a valid Iowa Fishing License (a trout stamp if you want to keep any trout), shoes or boots to comfortably wade the river, a change of clothes when you’re done fishing, rain

gear, sun screen, a hat, and a cooler in your vehicle to keep any trout, northern, or walleyes.  We do practice catch and release of all smallmouth bass unless they are legal size and are fatally injured during the catch.  If you choose to keep a bass for the taxidermy shop we understand and respect your decision.

Trout fishing packages come in a wide variety of styles.  Our goal is to make you’re fishing time as productive as possible so you can spend more time trying to catch fish and less time looking for fish to catch.

Trout Packages

General Information- check the website or email, they both are free!! 

Scout Package- $75.00 We will scout streams (your choice or ours) before you come and provide you information regarding numbers of fish, activity levels, ease of fishing, etc.  Our goal is to eliminate wasted or slow stretches of water, so you can concentrate on fishing.

Scout Plus Package- $125.00 Same as above but we provide rods, reels, & tackle.  Package will provide a maximum of two rods. 

Fully Guided No Equipment- $225.00 We will provide transportation from Decorah to trout fish for the day.  Package includes snacks, beverages, food.  We will clean and package fish at the end of the day. (2 people maximum)   

Fully Guided All Equipment- $300.00 Same as above but all equipment provided.

Float Trip Packages

General Information- it’s free again from the website or email

1 Person Full Day- $225 (half-day $125.00) You provide your own fishing equipment, and wading gear, and life jackets.  We provide the rest.  This includes snacks, beverages, food, and transportation to and from float back to Decorah.  We also provide fishing advice at no extra cost.

 2 Person Full Day- $275 (half-day $150.00) I provide one canoe and one kayak.  The kayak person can fish solo or be along to enjoy the ride. This is a great option for two people who have different water recreation interests, but want to spend the day together.  Everything provided in the 1 person full day package is provided here as well. 

Deluxe package- Add $75 to above float packages.  We will provide all equipment; you just need to show up with a positive mental attitude and a willingness to have some fun.
